Canucks re-sign Sedin twins to 5-year contracts

The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed unrestricted free agent forwards Daniel and Henrik Sedin to five-year, $30.5 million contracts.

The signing comes just an hour before the free agent market opens. The Sedins will earn an average of $6.1 million per season.

Daniel Sedin scored 31 goals and added 51 assists for 82 points in 82 games, and posted a plus-24 rating, with the Canucks last season.

Henrik Sedin registered 22 goals and 60 assists for 82 points, with a plus-22 rating, with Vancouver last year.
