Leafs re-sign center Holland

The Toronto Maple Leafs have re-signed restricted free agent forward Peter Holland to a two-year contract.

Holland, 23, played 39 games for the Maple Leafs in 2013-14 collecting five goals and five assists for 10 points and 16 penalty minutes.

The Maple Leafs acquired Holland on November 16, 2013 from the Anaheim Ducks along with Brad Staubitz in exchange for Jesse Blacker, Toronto's second round pick and Anaheim's seventh round pick (previously acquired) in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Holland has played 68 career NHL games for Toronto and Anaheim and has registered 17 points (10 goals, seven assists) and 24 penalty minutes.

He was originally Anaheim's first choice, selected 15th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
