Maple Leafs sign Santorelli

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed unrestricted free agent forward Mike Santorelli to a one-year, $1.5 million contract.

Santorelli, 28, registered 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points in 49 games with the Vancouver Canucks last season.

In 257 career NHL regular-season games with the Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers, Winnipeg Jets and Canucks, Santorelli has accumulated 43 goals and 44 assists for 87 points.

The Vancouver native was originally drafted by the Predators in the sixth-round, 178th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
