Leafs taking calls, nothing imminent

The Toronto Maple Leafs have received calls about some of their defensemen, including Cody Franson, Jake Gardiner and Carl Gunnarsson, but a trade is not close.

Several teams have called the Leafs about their blueliners, but GM Dave Nonis isn't about to pull the trigger on a deal.

As mentioned in TSN's "Insider Trading" segment during last night's Colorado-Toronto game, Darren Dreger indicated that the Leafs are "interested in offers but they're certainly not shopping Gardiner."

Dreger also confirmed that teams have inquired about Franson, as well.

It's unclear what the Leafs would be specifically looking for, but it would be a fairly significant trade if the team were to part with any of these three defensemen.
