The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed restricted free agent goalie Jonathan Bernier to a two-year contract worth $5.8 million.

Bernier, 24, was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings on June 23, 2013 in a three-player trade.

In 14 games for the Kings last season, Bernier posted a record of 9-3-1 while posting one shutout, a 1.88 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage.

He was a first-round selection of the Kings, 11th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
