McCabe would consider trade TheFourthPeriod.com
Toronto Maple Leafs GM Cliff Fletcher has met with the five members of his team that have no-trade/no-movements clauses and only one appears willing to consider a trade.
Leafs captain Mats Sundin has stated that he will not waive his no-trade clause, shortly after TFP learned that winger Darcy Tucker and defenseman Pavel Kubina told Fletcher they too would not accept a move.
Earlier last week, defenseman Tomas Kaberle also rejected the idea of being dealt.
Offensive-minded rearguard Bryan McCabe would consider waiving his no-movement clause, sources tell TFP.
The New York Islanders and Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks are all believed to be interested in acquiring the 32-year-old.
McCabe met with Fletcher this past Thursday upon which the GM asked his defenseman to consider a move. McCabe took the weekend to mull it over and while he hasn't provided the Leafs with a list of teams he'd go to, he is willing to see his option.
The Flyers tried to acquire Kaberle from Toronto last week for center Jeff Carter as part of a package, but that deal fell through. A decision regarding McCabe could come as early as today.
