Several teams, according to TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta, remain in the mix for Drouin, including the St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota Wild, Anaheim Ducks, Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators.
In Pagnotta's latest column, he reported, citing a league source, that Drouin will be traded "in the next seven days."
According to Pagnotta, a trade involving Drouin was believed to be close last month, possibly with the Blues, before Drouin left the organization.
The Blues, Ducks and Predators all hold a playoff position in the Western Conference, while the Wild is battling for a spot.
Lightning GM Steve Yzerman has indicated that he is willing to wait beyond the deadline to deal Drouin if the right offer doesn't present itself.
