Boucher on thin ice?
TheFourthPeriod.com

Lightning head coach Guy Boucher is rumored to be on the hot seat in Tampa Bay as he may not survive the Bolts' dreadful season, according to the Ottawa Sun.

Speculation emerged that if the Lightning didn't win over the Boston Bruins last Tuesday, Boucher would have been fired.

Meanwhile, Lightning GM Steve Yzerman is shopping around for help on the back end and in between the pipes to attempt to save the Bolts' season as they sit in 13th place of the Eastern Conference with eight points out of a playoff spot.

Yzerman could possibly investigate in Edmonton, where Oilers GM Steve Tambellini could listen to offers concerning goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin.

Although Tambellini is not reportedly looking to move the 39-year-old goalie, he is expected to listen to all offers in the midst of another losing season.

Khabibulin holds a $3.75 million cap hit and could be lured to return to Tampa Bay, where he won a Cup in 2004, and help the Bolts improve their 3.41 goals-against-average per game.
