Lightning signs Kubina for 2-years

Pavel Kubina is returning to the team he won a Stanley Cup with.
Early Friday morning, the Tampa Bay Lightning signed the unrestricted free agent defenseman to a two-year contract.
Kubina, 33, spent last season with the Atlanta Thrashers, registering six goals and 32 assists for 38 points in 76 games.
The native of Celadna, Czech Republic, started his NHL career with the Lightning after being drafted in the seventh-round (179th overall) by Tampa Bay in 1996. In 822 career regular-season games with the Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs and Thrashers, Kubina has accumulated 103 goals and 245 assists for 348 points, along with 987 assists.
