Blues re-sign forward Ott

The St. Louis Blues have re-signed unrestricted free agent forward Steve Ott to a two-year, $5.2 million contract.

Ott, 28, was acquired, along with goalie Ryan Miller, from the Buffalo Sabres on Feb. 28, in a multi-player trade.

In 82 games with the Sabres and Blues last season, Ott registered nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points, along with 92 penalty minutes.

Born in Summerside, P.E.I., Ott has accumulated 103 goals and 164 assists for 267 points, along with 1,355 penalty minutes, in 696 career NHL regular-season games with the Dallas Stars, Sabres and Blues.

Ott was originally drafted 25th overall by the Stars in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
