Stastny signs 4-year, $28 million contract

The St. Louis Blues have signed unrestricted free agent center Paul Stastny to a four-year, $28 million contract.

Stastny, 28, registered 25 goals and 35 assists for 60 points in 71 games last season with the Colorado Avalanche.

The St. Louis native and son of Hockey Hall of Famer Peter has accumulated 160 goals and 298 assists for 458 points in 538 career NHL regular-season games, all with the Avs.

Stastny was originally drafted by the Avalanche in the second-round, 44th overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
