The St. Louis Blues have signed unrestricted free agent left wing Brenden Morrow to a one-year, $1.5 million contract.

Morrow, 34, registered 12 goals and 13 assists for 24 points in 44 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Dallas Stars last season.

Morrow was traded to Pittsburgh prior to the trade deadline along with a third-round pick, in exchange for defenseman Joe Morrow and a fifth-round pick.

In 850 career NHL regular-season games, Morrow has accumulated 249 goals and 293 assists for 542 points, along with 1,222 penalty minutes.

He was originally selected 25th overall by the Stars at the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
