The price of purchase, one that includes the Blues, the Scottrade Center lease, interest in the Peabody Opera House and the team’s top minor-league affiliate Peoria Rivermen, is estimated to go over $130 million.
The news comes a little more than two weeks after the league rejected a purchase agreement that included Chicago businessman Matthew Hulsizer.
The development arises as the Blues are enjoying some of their best success in recent years. They are 29-12-6 and have earned 64 points, one behind the Detroit Red Wings for the Western Conference lead.
The team has not appeared in the post-season since losing to the Vancouver Canucks in the Western Conference quarterfinals in 2009.
