Colaiacovo falls hard
TheFourthPeriod.com

According to the Associated Press, St. Louis Blues defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo left Saturday's game at the end of the second period against the Nashville Predators with an upper-body injury.

At 13:06 of the period, Preds forward Blake Geoffrion tripped Colaiacovo, who fell hard on his back and head into the end boards. The blueliner did not return to the game.

"No update for right now," Blues coach Davis Payne told the AP. "We'll just check back on him in the morning. A little bit awkward situation."

In 65 games with the Blues last season, Colaiacovo recorded six goals and 20 assists for 26 points.
