The St. Louis Blues have signed restricted free agent defenseman Erik Johnson to a two-year contract.
Johnson, 22, recorded 10 goals and 29 assists for 39 points with the Blues last season after missing the entire 2008-09 campaign due to a knee injury.
The native of Bloomington, MN, has played in 148 career regular-season NHL games and has accumulated 15 goals and 57 assists for 72 points, along with 107 penalty minutes.
Johnson was originally drafted first-overall by the Blues in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
