The Blues pulled the trigger on a trade late Tuesday, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports another deal may be on the horizon.
Yesterday, the Blues notified the rest of the league that forward Brad Boyes was available for trade.
Boyes, 27, has two years left on his current contract with an annual cap hit of $4 million.
The Blues, who already dealt prospect Aaron Palushaj to Montreal for right wing Matt D'Agostini, have been linked to showing interest in Canadiens goalie Jaroslav Halak.
Veteran forwards Paul Kariya and Keith Tkachuk, defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo and goalie Chris Mason can be unrestricted free agents this summer and could be moved, however Kariya and Tkachuk have no-trade clauses and would have to approve any deal the team tries to make.
Sportsnet hockey analyst Nick Kypreos reported yesterday that Tkachuk and Kariya were not interested in moving.
