Marleau wants to stay in San Jose
TheFourthPeriod.com

With the sting of losing four-straight to the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Final still fresh, center Patrick Marleau is hoping to stay with the Sharks.

Marleau is in the final year of his contract and can become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

"There's lots of time to think about that," Marleau told the Mercury News. "We love San Jose. We'll see how every thing works out."

It has been widely speculated that the Sharks might go in a different direction this summer and opt against signing Marleau to a new contract.

Goalie Evgeni Nabokov can also become a UFA this summer.
