Penguins want Fedotenko back

TheFourthPeriod.com

The Penguins are waiting on a decision from unrestricted free agent forward Ruslan Fedotenko, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Penguins GM Ray Shero said he expected to see if Fedotenko will accept the team's offer to stay, though a number of teams -- including Minnesota -- are trying to sign him.

"I'm not [optimistic or pessimistic]," Shero told the Post-Gazette. "He's going to talk it over with his wife and let us know."

Meanwhile, the Penguins lost defenseman Rob Scuderi to the Los Angeles Kings yesterday and are expected to try and acquire a replacement either via the free agent market or through trade.
