The Phoenix Coyotes have signed unrestricted free agent forward Jeff Halpern to a one-year, two-way contract.

As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In parts of 13 NHL seasons with the Washington Capitals, Dallas Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning, Los Angeles Kings, Canadiens and Rangers, the 37-year-old has played in 907 regular season games, recording 147 goals and 214 assists for 361 points, along with 617 penalty minutes.

The Washington, D.C. native also appeared in 39 Stanley Cup playoff games, totaling seven goals and seven assists for 14 points and 31 penalty minutes.

Halpern was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Washington on March 29, 1999.
