The Glendale City Council voted 4-2 in favor of the agreement that will help the team stay in Jobing.com Arena and hand over duties of managing the facility to Jamison. The package is expected to pay Jamison approximately $15 million annually to help run the arena.
Jamison has until January 31, 2013 to close on the sale of the team and deliver $170 million to the NHL or else the process will have to begin all over again.
The League has been looking to sell the Coyotes for three years after it purchased the team for $140 million in 2009 when the former owner filed the franchise into bankruptcy.
