Doan's fate in Coyotes' buyer's hands
TheFourthPeriod.com

As it was discussed on a segment of Insider Trading, Phoenix Coyotes captain Shane Doan is expected to meet face-to-face with potential team buyer Greg Jamison before Sunday to talk about the future of the franchise in the desert.

If Jamison can persuade Doan that the purchase of the Coyotes will be successful and that they will remain in Glendale, that the veteran forward will not test the open market on July 1.

The 35-year-old might be curious to see what he could command on the market, but he is likely to be reluctant going in.

Although Doan has expressed the desire to stick with the Coyotes, he could choose to listen to outside offers if a new deal is not imminent.

In 79 regular-season games with the Coyotes, Doan posted 22 goals and 28 assists for 50 points.
