Turris close to being traded
TheFourthPeriod.com

It appears the Phoenix Coyotes are inching closer to trading young center Kyle Turris, as a deal could be completed as early as today.

Several reports have linked Turris to a possible trade, with the Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Dallas Stars among the interested parties.

TSN's Darren Dreger reported on his Twitter page this morning that a deal may be imminent.

"Things are heating up on the Kyle Turris trade front. Sources indicate a deal could come down today," Dreger wrote.

If a deal is close, it won't be with Toronto, as they have implemented an internal holiday roster freeze that is already in effect.

Turris, 22, signed a two-year, $2.8 million contract with the Coyotes on Nov. 22. He has been held off the score sheet in six games this season.
