Coyotes still scouring market
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Phoenix Coyotes continue to comb through the trade market, looking for some extra pieces to add before the trade deadline passes next Monday.

Coyotes GM Don Maloney wants to add a top-six forward before the end of the month and has been speaking with several teams about a possible trade.

The Coyotes are believed to be in talks with the Toronto Maple Leafs, a team they have been scouting for several weeks.

Two Coyotes scouts were listed for last night's Leafs game, including assistant GM Brad Treliving, who has watch the Leafs in person on more than one occasion.

Phoenix was supposedly interested in winger Kris Versteeg, before the Leafs dealt him to the Philadelphia Flyers earlier this month, and could be eyeing forwards Clarke MacArthur or Mikhail Grabovski.

The Coyotes have other options, though, and may be targeting some of Florida's forwards, as the likes of Cory Stillman, Marty Reasoner and Chris Higgins are available.
