Coyotes acquire Morris from Bruins

The Phoenix Coyotes have acquired veteran defenseman Derek Morris from the Boston Bruins in exchange for a 2011 fourth-round draft pick.

The Coyotes have also acquired defenseman Mathieu Schneider from the Vancouver Canucks.

Morris, 31, has collected three goals and 22 assists for 25 points in 57 games with the Bruins this season.

In 850 career NHL games with Calgary, Colorado, Phoenix, the New York Rangers and Bruins, Morris has accumulated 79 goals and 286 assists for 365 points.
