Coyotes won't trade young talent TheFourthPeriod.com
According to the Arizona Republic, the Coyotes will not mortgage the future to get a rental player by dealing away their top young talent.
Coyotes GM Don Maloney has been busy manning the phones lately, but told the Republic his team is neither a buyer nor a seller.
"My response is we are neither, we are builders," Maloney said via email. "Our position remains the same. We are not interested in making a deal involving a future asset (young player, high draft pick) . . . If we find a deal that improves our playoff chances this season, without sacrificing a future asset, we will certainly consider it."
