Flyers shopping multiple players

The Philadelphia Flyers are looking to be active between now and the Feb. 29 trade deadline, the Ottawa Sun reports.

Flyers GM Ron Hextall has been shopping defensemen Mark Streit and Evgeni Medvedev, and forwards Sam Gagner and R.J. Umberger.

According to the Sun, the Flyers are also dangling defenseman Nick Schultz and forward Matt Read.

Streit and Schultz have one year left on their deals after this season, while Read has two more seasons remaining on his contract.

Medvedev and Gagner can become unrestricted free agents July 1.
