Flyers looking at trade options

In order to fit Mark Streit back on the roster and keep Shayne Gostisbehere with the big club, the Philadelphia Flyers will have to make some sort of move.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Flyers must clear about $855,000 in cap space to make room for Gostisbehere once Streit returns, likely on Wednesday.

The Inquirer suggests the Flyers could place a veteran, like R.J. Umberger or Nick Schultz, on waivers and hope another team puts in a claim.

The paper also suggests the Flyers look to trade goalie Michal Neuvirth and try to include Vincent Lecavalier in a trade to free up some cap space.

The Flyers will likely have to eat a portion of Lecavalier's salary if they move him.

Flyers GM Ron Hextall has also been actively shopping Brayden and Luke Schenn, Andrew MacDonald and Schultz.
