The 24-year-old told the Timmins Press that the Penguins star played inflicted the injuries of his wrists, which caused him to undergo surgery on both arms once the Flyers' season came to an end at the hands on the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern semi-finals.
"Those are from [Sidney] Crosby," Giroux told the paper. "Every time we'd line up against each other for a face-off during our series, instead of going for the puck when it was dropped, he'd hack me across the wrists. I ended up playing the series against Jersey with one of them fractured and had to go for surgery on both of them after we were out of the playoffs."
Crosby refused to comment on the accusations.
In 77 games with the Flyers last season, Giroux recorded 28 goals and 65 assists for 93 points and still managed to post eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in 10 playoff contests.
