Flyers GM weighing his options

Flyers GM Paul Holmgren has spent the Olympic break assessing his team's strengths and weaknesses as the trade deadline nears, the Camden Courier-Post reports.

Holmgren is prepared to make moves, but despite various speculation, the team is not interested in acquiring a goalie.

"I will make the blanket statement that if something can help our team, we'll do it," Holmgren told the paper. "But I've been happy with our goaltending. My only concern is with Ray, and we've got some time with him."

The Flyers are believed to be in the market for a scoring winger, and there are several available, including Carolina's Ray Whitney, Toronto's Alexei Ponikarovsky and St. Louis' Paul Kariya.
