According to the Ottawa Sun, the Philadelphia Flyers are interested in Calgary Flames star defenseman Dion Phaneuf.
The Atlanta Thrashers were reportedly involved in some trade talks with Calgary, but the Flyers appear to have shown the most interest.
Unfortunately for the Flyers, they do not have the necessary cap space to acquire a player like Phaneuf, who makes $6.5 million per season (on average), and Philly GM Paul Holmgren isn't certain if he wants to tinker significantly with his roster.
