Flyers, Rangers talking trade?

TheFourthPeriod.com

Philadelphia Flyers veteran forward Petr Nedver could be returning to the New York Rangers, according to a report.

Citing sources, SLAM! Sports claims Nedved may be headed back to the Rangers as part of a multi-team deal, instead of returning to Europe as many speculated.

Nedved was placed on waivers for the second time this season and his career with the Flyers is all but over.

The 35-year-old is currently under contract for $2.4 million, and any team trading for him would be responsible for the remainder of his salary for the 2006-07 season.

Both the Flyers and the Rangers would not comment on the rumored trade.

In 21 games with the Flyers this season, Nedved has tallied just one goal and seven assists, and has a minus-20 rating.
