Sens looking for depth forward

The Ottawa Senators are in the market for bottom-six forward and GM Pierre Dorion is exploring his options.

During Thursday night's "Insider Trading" segment on TSN, TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reported the Senators have been "working the phones the last couple of days."

LeBrun added that Dorion would like to add a third or fourth line forward to his roster, but it's unclear if anything is imminent.

The Senators have just under $7.3 million in available salary cap space, to date, according to and have plenty of room to add a roster player, providing it fits under the team's unknown internal cap.

It's also unclear what the Senators are willing to offer in exchange for depth in their bottom-six, whether it's an active NHL player, a prospect, a draft pick or a combination of the sort.
