Senators acquire Hemsky from Oilers

The Ottawa Senators have acquired right wing Ales Hemsky from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a two draft picks.

The Oilers will receive a 2014 fifth-round draft pick and a 2015 third-round draft pick.

Hemsky, 30, registered nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points in 55 games with the Oilers this season.

In 652 career NHL regular-season games, all with Edmonton, Hemsky has tallied 142 goals and 335 assists for 477 points.

He was originally drafted 13th overall by the Oilers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
