Senators head coach has decided to use Christoph Schubert as a forward this season, instead of a defenseman, reports the Ottawa Citizen.
Schubert will serve as a fourth line forward, a decision the now-former defenseman wasn't fond of as he left practice without talking to the media.
"He came in to prove that he's a full-time defenseman, so he's disappointed," Hartsburg told the Citizen.
"I understand that. But he's on our team to play a role and contribute, and I think he understands that.
"This is where he fits best after camp."
