The Ottawa Senators have signed unrestricted free agent forward Brad Isbister to a one-year, two-way contract.

If the 10-year NHL veteran makes the Senators' roster, he will be paid $650,000 this season.

Isbister, 31, spent the 2007-08 campaign playing for the Vancouver Canucks, where he recorded six goals and five assists in 55 games, along with 38 penalty minutes.

The Edmonton native was the third-round choice (67th overall) of the Winnipeg Jets in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in 1997-98 with Phoenix, playing in 66 games with the Coyotes in his rookie season.

Isbister has recorded 222 points (106 goals, 116 assists) and 615 penalty minutes in 541 career NHL games with Phoenix, the New York Islanders, Edmonton, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and Vancouver.
