Rangers acquire Carcillo from Kings

The New York Rangers have acquired forward Daniel Carcillo from Los Angeles in exchange for a conditional seventh round selection in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Carcillo, 28, has registered one goal and one assist, along with 57 penalty minutes in 26 games with the Los Angeles Kings this season.

Last season, Carcillo was a member of the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup championship team, tallying two goals and one assist in 23 games.

The King City, Ontario native has skated in 359 career contests over eight seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, and Los Angeles Kings, registering 41 goals and 48 assists for 89 points, along with 1,136 penalty minutes.

Carcillo was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins as a third round choice, 73rd overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
