Rangers meeting with Vigneault
TheFourthPeriod.com

As the Rangers continue their search for a new head coach, GM Glen Sather and his staff will meet with former Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault later today.

According to the New York Post, Vigneault will meet with Sather and Co. at the club's organizational meetings in La Quinta, California.

Vigneault, 52, was let go by the Canucks last month after the team was knocked out of the first-round of the playoffs in four-straight games.

The Rangers are also considering former Buffalo Sabres coach and former Rangers captain Mark Messier for the bench boss position.

The Post claims the Rangers could also seek permission to speak with Los Angeles Kings assistant coach John Stevens.

The Rangers fired John Tortorella as head coach on May 29.
