Nash returns to New York with injury
TheFourthPeriod.com

Winger Rick Nash flew from Zurich to New York over the weekend for an examination of his nagging groin injury by the New York Rangers medical staff.

Nash, 28, has been spending the lockout with HC Davos in Switzerland and aggravated the injury a week ago while playing.

However, the groin ailment is not believed to be serious and is only being checked out for precautionary purposes.

After collecting 12 goals and six assists for 18 points in 17 games with Davos, Nash will get to choose if he returns to Switzerland after a diagnosis.

Before getting traded from the Blue Jackets to the Rangers over the summer summer, Nash posted 30 goals and 29 assists for 59 points in 82 games in Columbus last season.
