McDonagh set to play in KHL?
TheFourthPeriod.com

New York Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh is expected to sign with HC Barys of the KHL and play for them during the NHL lockout.

According to Russian newspaper Sport-Express, McDonagh will be leaving for Russia tomorrow, upon which the team will conduct a physical. Once he passes, he'll become the third and final NHL player to join Barys.

Winnipeg Jets center Nik Antropov and Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Viktor Hedman have also signed with Barys.

McDonagh, 23, would become the third member of the Rangers to sign overseas during the lockout, joining forward Rick Nash and Carl Hagelin.

In 82 games with the Rangers last season, McDonagh registered seven goals and 25 assists for 32 points.
