Straka to make decision Monday

  Jaromir Jagr isn't the only player heading overseas next season.

Former New York Rangers forward Martin Straka is also on the verge of leaving the NHL for Europe.

Straka agent, Ritch Winter, confirmed to TFP that his client will be spending the 2008-09 campaign on the other side of the Globe.

"He will make a final decision on his future on Monday," Winter wrote to TFP in an e-mail. "He is evaluating offers in the Czech and Russian league, including his hometown of Plzen where he would be GM and player, as well as St. Petersburg in Russia.

   
Various reports claimed Straka was to join Jagr on Avangard Omsk, however Winter stated that wasn't an option at the moment.

"Omsk is not in the cards at this stage," he wrote.

Winter also pointed out that the NHL "is not" an option for Straka.
