Omsk GM Anatoly Bardin confirmed the Jagr signing, and a press conference has been scheduled for Monday, July 7, at 2pm local time, in introduce Jagr.
Various reports suggest Jagr has received a two-year, $35 million contract with an option for a third season, however Bardin called those reports false. Jagr is supposedly set to earn less than $10 million per season.
Jagr, an eight-time All-Star, registered 25 goals and 46 assists with the New York Rangers last season.
He has accumulated 646 goals and 963 assists for 1,609 points in 1,273 career NHL games with Pittsburgh, Washington and the Rangers.
Bardin also denied a report that his club has approached Sergei Fedorov.
