Nabokov re-signs with Islanders

The New York Islanders have re-signed unrestricted free agent goaltender Evgeni Nabokov to a one-year, $3.25 million contract.

Nabokov, 37, posted a 23-11-7 record with the Islanders this past season, along with 2.50 goals-against-average and a .910 save percentage.

The 12-year NHL veteran has played in 646 career NHL games with the San Jose Sharks and Islanders, and has registered a 335-207-47 record with a 2.41 goals-against-average, a .912 save percentage and 55 shutouts.

Nabokov was originally drafted by the Sharks in the ninth-round (219th overall) of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.
