Reinhart signs entry-level deal

The New York Islanders have signed defenseman Griffin Reinhart to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Reinhart, 18, was the Islanders' first selection (fourth overall) at the 2012 NHL Draft in Pittsburgh.

Reinhart, a native of North Vancouver, BC, led all Edmonton Oil Kings defensemen with 12 goals in 58 games during the 2011-12 season. He also added 24 assists for 36 points during his second season in the Western Hockey League.
