Isles acquire Visnovsky from Ducks

The New York Islanders have acquired Lubomir Visnovsky from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for the team's second round selection in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Visnovsky has played the last three seasons with the Ducks, totaling 108 points (29 goals and 79 assists) in 165 games. He had a career year with Anaheim during the 2010-11 campaign, when he scored 18 goals and 50 assists (68 points) in 81 games.

A native of Topolcany, Slovakia, Visnovsky spent two seasons playing for the Edmonton Oilers from 2008-2010. He scored 63 points (18 goals and 45 assists) over those two years.

The Los Angeles Kings originally drafted Visnovsky, where he played seven years with the organization, accumulating 279 points (70 goals and 209 assists) in 499 games with the Kings.
