Weight set to return to Islanders

Veteran center Doug Weight will be returning to the Islanders next season, general manager Garth Snow told New York Newsday.
Weight is expected to finalize a one-year contract with the Islanders, which Snow categories "in essence, done."
"I think he's been a great leader in the locker room," Snow told Newsday.
Weight, 39, was limited to 36 games with the Islanders this past season, registering just one goal and 16 assists.
