Islanders expected to trade Sutton

Veteran defenseman Andy Sutton's tenure with the New York Islanders appears to be coming to an end, as the club looks to be on the verge of trading him.

According to islanderspointblank.com, Islanders GM Garth Snow already has received offers from at least teams of a second round pick for Sutton.

The site, however, claims the Islanders are trying to maximize their value and may hold off until right at the deadline before pulling the trigger.

Sutton, 34, is in the final year of his current contract and has a cap hit of $3 million this season.
