The New York Islanders have claimed left wing Rob Schremp off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers.
Schremp, 23, has spent the last three seasons within the Oilers' organization, playing for the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Falcons.
In 216 career AHL games, Schremp has scored 47 goals and 124 assists for 171 points.
Schremp was originally drafted by the Oilers in the first round (25th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
