Brodeur, 41, indicated after Saturday night's game that it could have been his last as a member of the Devils.
"There are only two games left before the trade deadline. We'll see what that's going to bring me," Brodeur told reporters, as quoted by the Newark Star-Ledger. "If I do get traded, this is probably going to be my last game. If I don't, hopefully there will be more. If not, it might be the last one. Who knows?"
The Devils play Sunday and against on Tuesday. The trade deadline is on Wednesday, at 3pm ET.
The Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild have been linked to Brodeur since it became known that he could be on the move.
"If I would agreed to (a trade), it would be just to get more ice time," Brodeur said. "I feel really good. The way I was playing today, I still have a lot left in me. If I need to play somewhere else next year, I need to make some decisions."
With Cory Schneider carrying the bulk of the starting duties in New Jersey now, Brodeur is hoping for more playing time if he is dealt.
Brodeur is set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
