Brodeur prepared for trade

If the New Jersey Devils end up moving superstar goalie Martin Brodeur, the future Hall-of-Famer appears to be ready for a change.

Brodeur, 41, is reportedly willing to accept a trade to a Stanley Cup contender, if a deal happens to be orchestrated before the March 5 trade deadline.

"Whatever happens, I'm fine with it," Brodeur told the Newark Star-Ledger.

As the paper reported, scouts from the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild, two teams on Brodeur's radar, attended Thursday night's Devils game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Brodeur is in the final year of a two-year, $9 million contract and can become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

The Devils, meanwhile, continue their push for Calgary Flames sniper Mike Cammalleri and have kicked the tires on teammate Lee Stempniak.
