Henrique signs six-year contract with Devils

The New Jersey Devils have locked up a key piece of their roster, re-signing restricted free agent forward Adam Henrique to a multi-year contract.

Henrique will earn $24 million over the next six-years with the Devils.

The 23-year-old registered 11 goals and five assists for 16 points in 42 games with the Devils last season.

The native of Brantford, Ontario, has played in 117 career NHL regular-season games in the early-part of his career, and has accumulated 27 goals and 40 assists for 67 points.

Henrique, an NHL All-Star in 2011-12, was originally drafted by the Devils in the third-round (82nd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
